Malahat Nation is Developing a Food Sovereignty Strategy & a Community Lands Local Area Plan!

Monitoring Underwater Sound in Malahat Marine Territory
Malahat Nation has been working with BC Whales and Sea to Shore Systems to install hydrophone systems in Malahat marine territory. The 'Malahat Beach South' hydrophone is collecting underwater noise data from inside Saanich Inlet it is now available on whalesound.ca! Malahat Nation's Pathway to Improved Transit and Mobility
Malahat Nation has completed a Transportation and Mobility Plan to support on-going work to improve transit and mobility options for community members to allow everyone to access important local and regional destinations. The plan will support planning for alternative transportation and mobility priorities, building new infrastructure and other capital investment needs, developing programs and services, and exploring opportunities with partner agencies and governments.
